What an oven clean covers
We clean single, double and built-in ovens, plus freestanding cookers. Our team works on the cavity, the roof, the door and the shelves. We also clean the fan cover, the element and the side runners. Because grease hides in those spots, we never skip them.
The glass door gets special care. Grease builds up between the panes over the years. Where the door design allows, we take it apart, clean inside and put it back together. As a result, you can see into the oven again.
Racks, trays and grill pans go into our heated dip tank. The tank loosens baked-on carbon that scrubbing cannot shift. For example, a rack that looks black comes out bright metal. You can read more in our guide on how a dip-tank clean works.
How we clean your oven
We start by laying protective covers on your floor and worktop. Then we remove the shelves, trays and door glass. While the parts soak in the tank, we treat the cavity by hand. This stage takes the most time, since the cavity holds the most grease.
Next we clean the fan, the element and the door seals in place. We use non-abrasive tools, so the enamel and the glass stay unmarked. We rinse and wipe each surface until no residue remains. Then we refit all parts and test the door and the controls.
Finally, we tidy up and talk you through the result. If we find a fault, such as a loose seal, we tell you. We do not repair appliances, but we point you to the right person. You see the finished oven before we leave.
What affects time and price
A single oven costs £50 and a double oven costs £60. Both prices are fixed once we agree the job. Most single ovens take 1.5 to 2 hours, and a double takes a little longer. Heavy carbon, a neglected fan or a second grill can add time.
Because we price by appliance, you know the total in advance. You can add a hob for £20 or an extractor for £20. Together, these add-ons often save you a second visit. See our full oven cleaning price list for all appliances.
For a rough idea of what drives the cost, read our Glasgow oven cleaning price guide. It explains why a double oven costs more than a single. It also shows how add-ons change the total.
Eco products and safety
We use non-caustic, biodegradable products. They do not give off the sharp fumes that many shop-bought sprays do. As a result, you do not need to leave the house or open the windows. Pets and children can stay in the next room.
Caustic cleaners can burn skin and damage enamel. Our products avoid that risk and still lift the grease. The oven is safe to use the moment we finish. We also wipe each surface down, so no film remains to taint your food.
Who books an oven clean
Most customers are busy families and couples who have run out of time. Others are home owners who want a fresh oven before guests arrive. Landlords and agents book us between tenants, and our commercial and landlord service covers larger jobs.
You may be wondering whether your oven needs a clean yet. Smoke when you cook, a burnt smell and a cloudy door are the usual signs. Our post on the signs your oven needs a professional clean lists the rest. If your oven shows two or three, it is time to book.
Some stains look hopeless but lift well. Our guide explains whether burnt-on carbon can be removed and what to expect.
Add-ons and areas we cover
Many customers add a hob clean or an extractor fan clean to the same visit. We also clean microwaves, and we offer separate pages for range cooker cleaning and AGA cleaning.
We cover Glasgow and towns within about 20 miles. Popular areas include oven cleaning in Bearsden, oven cleaning in Giffnock and oven cleaning in Paisley. We also visit homes across Rutherglen and customers in East Kilbride each week.
