How Much Does Oven Cleaning Cost in Glasgow? 2026 Price Guide
Most people want one number before they book. How much will it cost to get the oven clean? The honest answer is that it depends on the appliance, and the price should never depend on how grubby your oven looks.
This guide sets out what we charge, what moves a price up or down, and how to compare quotes. Our own prices are on the table below. If you want the full picture of what the job involves, see our professional oven cleaning service.
Our prices at a glance
We price by appliance, not by hour. You get a fixed figure before we start, and it does not change on the day because the oven turned out worse than you expected.
- Single oven: £50
- Double oven: £60
- Range cooker: from £90
- AGA or Rayburn: from £100
- Hob add-on: £20
- Extractor add-on: £20
- Microwave: from £15
- Fridge or freezer: from £35
Commercial kitchens and landlord jobs are quoted per job, because the scope varies so much. A café with two ovens and a canopy is a different task from a one-bed flat in a tenement.
A single oven takes about an hour and a half to two hours. A double oven takes a little longer. Range cookers and AGAs can take three to four hours, since they have more cavities, plates and parts to strip down.
What changes the price
The appliance is the biggest factor. A double oven has two cavities, two sets of racks and often a separate grill, so it costs more than a single. A range cooker adds hotplates, griddles and several oven compartments on top of that.
Add-ons are the next factor. Many customers book the hob or the extractor hood at the same time, because we are already on site with the covers laid out. Adding them at the visit costs less than booking a second trip later.
Access and location matter less than people expect. We cover Glasgow and the surrounding areas, so we do not add a mileage charge for most of our patch. If you are at the far edge of our range, we will tell you in the quote rather than add a surprise afterwards.
How our prices compare
Advertised prices vary from one firm to the next. A low headline figure can look tempting. However, it often covers only the oven cavity, with racks, door glass and the fan left as extras.
When you compare quotes, ask what the figure includes. Does it cover the racks and trays? Does the price include the door glass cleaned between the panes? Is the figure fixed, or “from”?
A lower price that leaves the racks dirty is not a saving. You pay for the job once, then clean the racks yourself, which was the part you wanted to avoid. For a fair comparison, line up the same list of items against each quote.
Why a fixed price matters
Burnt-on carbon can look alarming. Some firms use that to raise the price once they have started, because the customer is standing in a half-cleaned kitchen and has little choice.
We confirm the price first. If an oven is in bad condition, we still do the job at the figure we gave you. That is a business decision, and it keeps the relationship simple.
It also means you can plan. A landlord with five ovens to turn round can budget the whole job on one email. A family planning a dinner party can book the clean with no fear of a bill that grows.
Where the money goes
A professional clean is mostly time and equipment. We lift out the racks and trays, then soak them in a heated dip tank. The cavity, fan and door are treated in your kitchen with non-caustic products.
Because our products are gentle, we can work in your home without harsh fumes. If you want to know why that matters, read our comparison of eco and caustic oven cleaning. There is also a plain guide to whether oven cleaning fumes are dangerous.
Insurance and travel are part of the price too. So is the time we spend laying out protective covers and tidying afterwards. We think a clean kitchen at the end of the job is part of the service, not an extra.
Costs for special appliances
Range cookers and AGAs cost more because there is more to clean, and because the finishes need care. An AGA has enamel surfaces that scratch or dull if you use the wrong product. Our AGA and Rayburn cleaning uses enamel-safe methods.
For a Rangemaster or similar, see our range cooker cleaning page. We also wrote a longer guide to range cooker cleaning and care for owners who want to keep one in good shape between visits.
If you are unsure which category your cooker falls into, send us the make and model in the quote form. We will confirm the price before we book a date.
Prices for landlords and tenants
End-of-tenancy cleans are one of the most common reasons people call a professional. A dirty oven is a frequent cause of deposit disputes, and a clean one removes the argument. Our end-of-tenancy oven cleaning checklist explains what an inspector looks for.
Landlords with several flats can ask for a quote across the whole portfolio. Agents and owners often find that a single visit per property, with a written note of the work, saves time at check-out.
Prices in your area
Our prices are the same across our patch. You pay the same for oven cleaning in Giffnock as for oven cleaning in Paisley, and the same again for oven cleaning in East Kilbride.
Range cookers cost more because each one has two or three cavities to strip. For example, our page on range cooker cleaning in Newton Mearns sets out what that visit involves.
We schedule by area to keep travel short, so tell us your postcode and we will suggest the nearest free day. That is also why neighbours sometimes book together.
Is it worth the money?
A clean oven smells better and is safer to cook in, because old grease can smoke and catch fire. Regular cleaning also lets you spot worn seals early.
You also get your time back. Scrubbing an oven by hand takes most of an afternoon, and the results are rarely as good.
